Gino Valiant: Businessman & Autism Awareness Advocate

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Autism is a developmental disorder that impairs a person’s social capacities like interaction and communication. Individuals with this disorder have restricted and repetitive behavior that makes it difficult for these people to interact with others.

In New Jersey, 1 in 45 children is afflicted with the said disorder. That is why Autism New Jersey, a group of parents, professionals and other like-minded individuals, has been dedicating time and effort to raise awareness and to improve the lives of people with ASD.

At the helm of this organization is Genare “Gino” A. Valiant, a parent of a child afflicted with autism. Additionally, he is a home construction professional and entrepreneur. He became president of Valiant Aluminum Products Co. Inc., in 1994. Back then, he had spearheaded the firm’s marketing and administrative divisions. Since his son’s diagnosis in 1998, he has been a dedicated advocate for raising awareness and funds for families affected by autism.

Through his business as a home construction professional, Valiant Home Remodelers, he formed the Michael S. Valiant Sr. Foundation that has helped to raise $220,000 for different organizations throughout New Jersey, including Autism New Jersey.
